Care for your tongue piercings :

General rule of thumb - you must keep the area clean and allow the body to heal around the tongue piercing. Rinse mouth with antibacterial mouthwash (choose one that does not have alcohol in it) or salt water twice daily and ensure the ends of tongue piercings are tight -you don't want it to slip off and risk swallowing it or damaging your teeth .  Avoid using alcohol based products, peroxide or betadine - it stains jewlery.  Don't finger tongue piercings till after the healing process is complete.
